Interested in reining competition? . . .
. . . you have to start somewhere!
CF Farms offers hauling and coaching services at local and regional NRHA and AQHA shows for horses in training, and for finished reiners that we have had in training for tune-ups.  The following tentative schedule is geared to our clients’ preferences.  Additional shows may be added to the schedule if there is enough interest.
Reining is a very challenging and complex sport. It combines the elements of speed, riding skill, and expert horse training.

In reining shows, there are 10 NRHA approved patterns. Riders are notified before the competition which pattern they will run. All patterns include small slow circles, larger fast circles, pinpoint flying lead changes, roll-back turns, complete spins to left and right, and sliding stops.

Horses are judged on smoothness, attitude, quickness, correctness and finesse as they complete each maneuver. Reining is a team effort between a highly trained horse and an equally skilled rider.
